NAS – KING’S DISEASE

LOVE it or Hate it? Nas’ King’s Disease. I give it 4 fires! The New Album is Classic Nas Flow and covers various topics. As a Hip-Hop fan you need this album in your life for the culture. I was not disappointed from the tracks to the Flow of the whole album. Three of my Top 5 NAS BANGERS is the title track “Kings Disease, All Bad and 10 Points!”

Fan Photo Story: Me, SHE, AND HE! Get your mind out of the gutter!
I have chilled with Nas on several occasions. Top Photo was in DC during late 90s – 2000. The
other 2 pics were around 05 or 06. We were hosting a Kelis interview and Meet & Eat. As we
finished up the event, I was walking Kelis outside, and I hear “Yooooo!” I was like “Wut Uuuup!”
“Why didn’t you come in?” We give each other a pound and NAS said “I didn’t want to take any shine away from wifey.” I totally understood. How cool was it that he gave his wife her space to to shine! Knowing anywhere they went together to promote her album he would eclipse her spotlight. We rapped about the upcoming album “Hip Hop is Dead” and took this pic. My Dude! And Yes, Nas Ethered Jay Z!

THE LOX – LIVING OFF XPERIENCE

LOVE it or Hate it? This Lox Album is hands down one of the best of their studio albums. Geeeeeeeeez! From beginning to end. Production is top notch with tracks for the streets, relationships and xperience. “Net Worth” gives you that uptempo knock the LOX are known for. “Dirty Dirty” gives you that Island feel making you feel like your on an island with your significant other. ‘Story” reminds you of how Sheek, Styles and Jada still have each others Back!

Fan Photo Story: Right before the heavily anticipated Jadakiss banger, “The Last Kiss” (2009)
was about to drop, I was recording the Rap Attack interview with him. I had asked him to do the
lead single “Can’t Stop” live in the studio. Afterward, I had mentioned to him that we also have a
segment called “Showtime,” where we drop a beat and have artists freestyle. It surprised me
when he said, “Hell Yeah, Let’s Go!”

The next three minutes would go down as one of the best freestyles of all time that went viral.
The Jadakiss freestyle for my “Showtime” segment has been shared and posted on websites
over one million times.

At a recent LOX show at the Baltimore Soundstage, I had the chance to catch up with Jada,
Styles, and Sheek. I said to Jada, “We made history with that Freestyle, 10
years later, and people still relive that classic moment.” Jada added, “Yeah, and neither of us
got paid to do it, we did it all for the love of the game!”

Toni Braxton
It was Sept. 27, 2005 when Toni’s new album “Libra” had dropped. I was already
banging two of her singles “Please” and “Take this Ring” off the album. Both were
Smashes! So, that day, Toni had walked into the studio and we were all immediately
blown away by her big personality. I said to her, “That’s that Severn Maryland, Anne
Arundel County Attitude.” She smiled and said, “What you know about it.” I responded,
“I’m from Gambrills. We need to take a pic.” She screamed, “Oooooooh!” As I stood
next to her, I put my arm around her shoulder. Then she said, “Nah, hold me like this.”
Im like “Oh”! They snap this pic. She looked at the pic and said, “We look like a couple!”

Alicia Keys
It was back in December 2003 when “The Diary of Alicia Keys” was playing on
everyone’s radio and playlists. “You Don’t know my Name,” “Karma,” and “If I ain’t got
you,” was already the album’s favorites. We had gotten invited to a live interview and
studio session with Alicia in DC. I let her know that I loved her work and asked her to keep
making that music we all love. Then I said to Alicia, “Never lose that Smile!” The second
pic was taken during the June 15 2008 concert in Baltimore. As I walked up to her, she smiled
and I said, “I see you haven’t lost your smile!” We Laughed! Then, she literally killed it. It was one of
her best shows. I wonder if my comment had anything to do with it? (YouTube has
footage from fans who posted recordings.)
